I asked my sleek friend how much she weighs. Graciously she confided in me. To my utter astonishment, she weighs the same! But then, again, she's taller. So I guess I need to continue on my trek to boldly go where no scale has gone before (well, at least not for a long time) or grow over three inches. Easy choice... I'll go shopping for really tall stilettos!

And to all my fellow shorties... we're like carry-on luggage. Due to the limited size, we have to be discriminatingly selective in what we choose to pack. So plan ahead and don't run out of clean undies.

I hope all of you have a great weekend and try to keep your eye on the carrot at the end of the stick!

I like the sound of "selectively" packing in calories. I've started doing the same! Like today, I couldn't convince myself to cook to save my life, so instead I ran over to McDonald's for a sandwich and some fries. I brought the grilled chicken sandwich home, no mayo, and a small fries. When I got home, I got one of my Sara Lee "80 Calories" hamburger buns and swapped out McDonald's bun for mine. Between that, the small fries (which still take up 1/2 a plate!), a barbeque sauce packet, and some ketchup, it was still only 500 calories. AND there was no carb-coma afterwards. :-)

I also have found fast food places aren't necessarily evil places. I like McDonald's chicken wraps and top it off with apple slices for dessert. Do you have a Chipotle near you? Do a Google for "Chipotle Nutrition Calculator." A burrito barbacoa bowl is 215 calories (without rice/beans/cheese). I usually ask for double fajita veggies and lettuce. Their generous helping is more than I can eat in one sitting & often enough for two meals. Yay... days of carb comas are behind us!

The really tall stiletto comment made me laugh!!! I am a 6 foot female and I still love to wear heels. "Fast" food is not always bad, you are right though that we have to be selective and informed consumers. :) I can do Chipotle bowls without rice, but I like to have a small amount of beans and some cheese.
