Today is just the first day and I had guest, friends from out of town who I have not seen in a very long time, I caved and had a very small glass of red wine, I could not bring my self to tell them I am on a diet, I refused appetizers, desserts,and many more eceteras so I felt like I had to say yes to something, I hoped the tiny glass that I sipped verrrry slowly to make sure I did not take much would not affect my outcome very much. well it threw me over the 20 net carb limit to 23 net carb for the day. I am trying not to feel too bad about it, tomorrow is another day. I will try harder.

It is difficult to stay on the path, especially early on in the process, when you are eating out or at a gathering. But given the situation and the early nature of the process. One thing I do is get a glass of water with a lemonn in a wine glass. When people ask if I want a drink, I say no thank you, I already have a drink. -- No explanation needed. Sounds like under the circumstances you did a great job. Congratulations!
