LSG417's Journal, 28 May 2018

Welp, we managed to go most of the day without losing power. Lost it about 8pm. Estimated time is around midnight. Problem is, these guys have to work in rotten conditions with all the rain being dumped on us. Thankful we have a generator. I had a separate breaker box wired in years ago specifically for the generator, so we have lights in the kitchen and living room and power to the well pump. I also had my main level furnace wired to it, but we don't need it now! So we at least still have some basic conveniences available. Hope everyone else in the path of Alberto is staying safe!

We've had trees going down on power lines, flooding and roads washing out for two weeks now due to excessive rain fall. The ground is so saturated, trees are being uprooted. We've been dealing with one storm system today, with the remnants of Alberto heading here too. It's a mess! I just hate it for the linemen having to work to restore our power. Especially as the winds pick up.
