I love the way they keep track of what you eat. Like today I did not even realize it, but I ate way too much fat and carbs. In this last year I have let my weight go, I don't know why I stopped paying attention, but I am very disappointed in myself. I am ready to go forward and lose 35-40lbs. If you don't pay attention to what you eat you will be like me and get into a lot of trouble. lol Good Luck everyone! One other thing I am very tired so I know my body has to get used to this new healthy lifestyle. Seems like I should feel better, but I know it takes time. Even though I am tired I still feel better. Did anyone get tired when they first started the diet? Thank you and take care, Susanne

8Patty, thanks for posting to me. I saw that you have lost a lot of weight, Congratulations! I am going to cut back on the carbs, also. Always, when I did Dr. Atkins diet years ago, I would always cut back to 20 carbs daily. As you can tell I have dieted just about all my life. When I retired I said "no more dieting" This is what happened a couple of years later. lol It is just taking time to focus, but I am getting excited more and more every day. I was really getting depressed when I was having to get bigger clothes, so now I am going the other way. Hope to talk to you, again, and thank you for taking time to talk to me. Keep up the excellent work! Susanne

Suz, think of keeping to a healthy weight your new "job" in retirement. In my neighborhood the senior center has lots of classes that aren't expensive for seniors including all kinds of yoga, exercises, and dance. They're geared for a senior body that may not be as limber any more. My husband does a senior water aerobics class once a week and walks in the gym pool 2-3 times a week. He does have a part-time job in retirement, but that's his other "job". He's keeping diabetes at bay.

Hey Pam, your husband sounds like he has come up with a good plan! I live in a senior retirement community so we do have a lot of activities going on. I was doing yoga, "move it or lose it" and etc. It is time for me to get back in some of these classes. My husband and I have started walking 3 times per week, so this will help too. How are you doing with your plan or is just your husband? It is always nice when both of you are doing it together. I am finally getting him on board. Thanks for the advice and look forward to talking to you, again. Have a good night! Susanne

I still don’t know know how to tell who I am responding to, but to the person who asked if anyone gets tired when first starting to try to eat healthy again, yes!!!!! I could crawl into bed right now. I feel for me I am just lacking vitamins! Which is why feeling drained. This happened to me last time as well which made my success harder. I am determined this time to kick things back up and eat better, wish me luck!
