Had a good day for the most part. I could've done without the movie, mainly because I had other things to do, but the hubs wanted to go...so we went. I only watch TV and movies because he does. When he isn't here, I don't turn the TV on. I did have a good time at the fish fry. It was one of our motorcycle groups getting together. Just stayed longer than I wanted and it poured rain on the way home. Good food, but hard to know exactly how many calories I ate, so I logged the best I could. I probably would've been ok except for the 2 hard ciders I drank. Put me over for the day. I wouldn't worry but we have a company BBQ to go to tomorrow. Eating out has become more of a chore anymore. I like being able to control my choices. Hard to do when you have events like a fish fry with sides like corn fritters, slaw and corn. It seems like every time I lose a pound or two, we end up somewhere for the weekend and I don't have good choices. If I wasn't trying so hard to lose, I probably wouldn't care so much. I'll be glad when I get to the point of maintenance. Maybe that will be easier.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday and has a great Memorial Day.

I suffer the same frustrations. In fact, the only way I was able to get started losing weight was because my husband was out of town two weekends in a row. I got to cook what I wanted and didn’t eat out. I try to look at eating out, etc. as practice for maintenance. I keep having to get back on track. Every week. You’re doing great though! This stuff slows us down, but we can do it!

At the bbq just eat a bit but don’t overdo it I was at a wedding buffet last week and I watched a bunch of overweight middle aged men gourge themselves It actually empowered me being in control. Felt good. U can do it too! FYI I’m a middle aged man but not obese anymore!

The only way I got through it when I was losing the first 150 lbs and eating out was to write it down as I went. 🤷🏻‍♀️It’s one of the reasons I loved finding this app for my phone so O could add food right there at the table and not forget anything!🙋🏻
