I started this journey on Monday, May 14th after seeing dozens of pictures and videos of family and never have I been so overweight! This is my journey, but a journey for my husband, kids and grandchild - William. I am too young to feel tired, unable to keep the pace with a 4 yr old and that is what brought me to my decision. Only I can change the progress of change that I want to see, but motivation is a great help. Although I love to see change in the matter of days, I have to consider the weekly goals and monthly goals to make this a reality. Not the scale, but daily energy and personal satisfaction that I made great choices each and every day. What crossed my path... I am getting ready for a surgery in three weeks and the appointments with the doctor include the basic assessment and the weight was going up with each visit. My heart sinks to think that I'm not taking care of my body and now, only now do I face the urgency to lose weight. The choice to go KETO is mine - high protein, low carbs and minimal daily caloric intake to see a shift in my body, mind and spirit. My goal is 50 lbs, 1006 calories a day is my target, 30-min of yoga, walking and aqua-aerobics. No alcohol, no sugar, and probably more sex! My husband doesn't know about that yet. LOL The prize... Disneyland for 3-days this summer with my bff...William. "Nani's coming" is all I want to say during that holiday. I'll keep you posted.
