I told Lindsay I was going to steal one of her ideas (with a twist) so here it is: I'm going to start envisioning monsters.
I know who my monsters are (processed sugars, fats and starches, preservatives, etc.) but when presented to me on a plate their true nature used to be hidden from me. Well, not any more.
Envision a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven. Now picture that cookie full of monster eggs. When you eat them they start hatching right inside your mouth. These monsters look like the most disgusting thing you an think of - squished beetles with their guts hanging out, squirmy maggots and slimy slugs.
The reason I am referring to them as monsters instead of bugs is because of what they do inside us - causing everything from excessive insulin production to inflammation, wreaking havoc on every organ of our bodies. All this is in addition to the production of fat.
Be on the lookout for monsters!

YES! I love your imagination. These creatures are very attractive to the taste...but don't be fooled-they are poisonous!

Yes! I do a similar thing. I look at all those sweets I used to crave, or a slice of bread, and now all I see is toxins. Something that will make me sick. And make me want more of it. Yikes! Why, oh why would I want to eat that! It does work. :)
