Sunday morning and I awoke early to yet another thunderstorm. I think the weather may parallel my life ... from one extreme to another!! Just two days ago we were sweating like pigs (do pigs really sweat??). Now it is overcast and almost chilly, though I refuse to close the windows just in case. One can always put on more clothes but you can only take off so many and then you are still hot.
The scale showed another increase. This is what I hate about weighing. I know I am doing what I need to do. And if I don't weigh, well that doesn't work for me either because out of sight, out of mind. Bleh.
The plan for today??? Ironing (darn laundry I finished yesterday made ironing a necessity), put away laundry I did yesterday, dishes, Pilates, and I have no idea what else. Exciting isn't it???
I cannot express to those of you who responded to my late night journal last night how much your thoughtful responses meant to me. I really don't like to talk about how icky I feel. I worry that it makes me look like a horrible person, that people will judge me, and so on and so forth. Yet ... it does help to write it, get it out of my head, and I am greeted with such warmth and acceptance. Thank you.
Let's hope that today brings more peace and positiveness in my household. Let's hope that if it doesn't I will meet it with grace and calm. One foot in front of the other. I'm not going to stress out about the scale. It is what it is and much like my husband's frame of mind there really isn't much I can do about it.
Take care ... see you in your journals!!!

I did it. The full 50 minutes of Pilates. Nearly killed me. I've only been absent for 2 days. I am so out of shape. Wah!!!

Hi Carol. I would never judge you. We are all human and we all go through the same feelings at one time or another. I admire your honesty and expressing my feelings out loud almost always helps me over the hump. We need to feel that someone cares, at least I do and I just want you to know that I care!

Sorry I missed last nights journal. Sounds like a better day. I think its much harder to be the caregivers than the patient. A emotional roller coaster....wish he would call the doctor. So hard...I am ignoring my scale. Its completely stupid annd meaningless. Don t let it bring you down!!
