I've been meaning to do my measurements again, and I've finally taken the time to do it. Here are my (super-embarrassing) stats:
(the first number is May 7/ the second number is today) Natural waist: 47/45 Hips: 49/47 Chest under arm: 45/41 Thigh top R: 27/26 Thigh top L: 27/26 Calf R: 18/17.5 Calf L: 18/17.5 Bicep R: 14/14 Bicep L: 14/14
Total inches lost: 11!
Yesterday I fell off the wagon HARD... went to Red Robin with the family and though I planned to eat half a burger & fries (which would have kept me in my RDI target just fine), I ended up eating it all. Bleah! Oh, well, back on the horse today.
I'm keeping it in my mind that choosing to eat high-cal/fat foods isn't "wrecking" my diet, it just extends my finish line that much further. If I imagine I'm running a marathon, I just pushed the finish line back another quarter-mile, so I have to run that much further.
Every day is the opportunity to choose health and fitness and nutrition! We're having fried razor clams tonight with company, so I'll go light on those and heavy on the veggies and salad to stay on track.
Thank you to everyone for the great encouragement on my last post about hitting a new low. Hugs and high-fives all around!

I agree with everyone else - not embarrassing numbers, they're awesome numbers!! 11 inches in 2 months?! That's great!!! I also love the finish line analogy.. I'm going to have to share it with the people in my life that are struggling starting out on this journey..

Man, you guys made me feel so much better about this milestone! I don't even know how I feel about it yet, other than a 45 waist freaks me out because my hubby wears 36 waist pants. But everything is going to be OK! I am just about to update my food journal and pretty sure I did great today!

.....yeah....but if he had had the babies....I bet he would struggle a bit to keep it trim. Cut yourself some slag. You are doing fantastic job :)

High five to you. If the measurement numbers are down, you're winning. I've also recently learned the hard way that "oh, I'll only eat half" rarely works out as well as you hope. I know at places like Red Robin it can be a pain, but recently I tend to opt out of fries unless the whole combo fits in the plan.

Where, oh where is that pesky "like" button :) great job! Keep that momentum going! I never bothered to measure myself back when I started. Combination of fear (lol) and not wanting to get discouraged and give up before I even got going...the attitude was "just get started and don't think about how you look now or how long it's going to take"...I only know that I can now wear a size smaller (almost two) than 30-ish pounds ago!
