Woke at 218.2, up 1.0 from yesterday. Blood ketones were .7 millimolar, so in mild ketosis. Handheld BIA device read 29.1 percent body fat, which is better than last night. Further, overnight dehydration typically results in a higher body fat percentage relative to the body water percentage, so good news there. Finally, the handheld unit includes my bones (8 lbs.), which the Tanita weighs separately. I will keep comparing my readings as I learn more. UPDATE: Ate new calorie goal and walked 2.9 miles today but not moving enough water or bulk. As a result, weighed 223.0 before dinner. Finished the day close to carb and calorie goals. Too much sodium over the past day. Waking weight is today's low.

Showing separate weigh-in numbers to show the Omron body fat readings. The evening weigh-in at 223.0 showed a 30.5 percent body fat. The body fat percentage should have gone DOWN relative to the extra weight. No way I gained 4.5 pounds of fat today so somehow the device is off. Still trying to make the math work and these numbers don't make sense yet.
