Color me surprised! No real explanation for it, really. Odd thing was, I recorded yesterday's weight when I first got up in the morning. After drinking a BPC, I weighed again before I showered at noon, and it had dropped .6 lb. And, after work, I was pretty hungry, so I decided to indulge in Burger King. I got a Whopper and small fries. Only ate half the fries, and took most of the bun off the burger, and only managed to eat about half of that, but I really expected a little bump up! Hmmmm.
I have a busy day at work today, and have to make the weekly Walmart run afterwards.

I know, @Andi. Que sera, sera! But maybe not, as I think I got a touch of food poisoning from the BK. Nausea and diarrhea within an hour of eating. :P

I have an American friend who lives in Romania and she can not go to McDonalds anymore. She tried when I went to visit her and she had to haul ass back home to get to the bathroom. :-)

Well, change in plans for the day. I was ready to walk out the door to go to work, when my phone notified me of a voicemail. A coworker called to let me know the salon was flooded. Apparently, a pipe at one of the sinks burst in the night, and ran until someone got there at 8. The real pisser for me is that my phone never rang, and the message was sent at 9, but didn't show up until 11! I texted AND left a voicemail for my 11:30, but she was still mad. The other 2 I had for today were much more sympathetic. *sigh* Still going to Walmart though.

Plumbing floods can cause a real mess. We had to cut the bottom 12" off all the walls on our bottom floor, dry out the insides of the walls and then replace the wall board and baseboards. repaint, etc. Not to mention replacing the floor tiles and chucking most of the rugs and contents of closets. It took us months to recover (3 years ago). It was the first of three disastrous summers (flood, car accident, pneumonia). Let's hope that's the end of that pattern! This summer - my daughter's wedding - all good!

Thanks for the congrats and colouring, buddies! @Erika, I haven't been in the salon to see the damage, so I don't know how deep it went. It's a pretty big space, so I hope it distributed across the space rather than going deep. My main concern is for the styling stations, which are made of pressboard. As you probably know, that stuff swells when exposed to water, and tends to disintegrate. I'll see tomorrow.
