I'm not feeling well (uncomfortable innards, headachy), there's a lot of flu going around, but I wonder if it's low carb "flue". Remains to be seen. I'm skipping my 1/2 glass of wine today, and all snacks. Don't feel like it. Luckily I am on excellent quality well water, so I will keep improving my hydration! I'll spend some time today investigating how much protein I should be having. I'm not clear on that.

So sorry. Yeah, sometimes it's hard to tell especially at the beginning of keto. If because of keto, it will pass. Hopefully you aren't ill. Take care of yourself.

Either way, you'll benefit from some broth. If it is keto flu then the cause is likely dehydration and electrolyte imbalance--nothing to be worried about, just get in the salt, magnesium and potassium that you need, especially the salt, and all will be well. If it's the viral flu, then broth is still a very good idea, especially when you're trying to get into ketosis. If you like pickle juice lots of people say it helps them, and the vinegar might help with a viral flu too. Now would be a great time for some brothy chicken soup or a nice chicken/sausage or fish/seafood gumbo. Praying you get to feeling better soon!

I'm feeling a bit better today. Thank you for all the support and hints! You mean I can indulge my salt cravings? This is really new to me! I'm using Better than Bouillon and it tastes very good. Now to find it cheaper somewhere. Hey, and I like pickle juice too--never thought of that. I thought I was weird for liking it. Thank you all so much!
