A beautiful fall day. Swearing at my lawnmower that doesn't want to start. Trying to mow and bag grass, leaves etc to add to the compost bin and to mulch plants. Also have bread rising and a beef broth (designer term is bone broth) simmering on the stove.

Thinking of my kids and I feel badly. One of the things I had hoped to instill in them was a love for the all natural foods they grew up on. All 3 daughters rely on lots of convenience foods and not one makes their own bread. They learned to knead bread before they were 2 and always wanted to "help". Funny that their husbands and kids love my homemade foods, except for one of the 9. She doesn't like hardly anything, I worry about her health.

Back to outside and the absolutely terrific day! Other things to do since the mower is being stubborn.

Sorry for your sadness :( both for your stubborn lawnmower (mine is already put up ...had snow twice already) and your children. I also spent years pouring every goodness I could into our son (he grew to 6'6 !) only to have him try to destroy himself as a 20 something year old. He has big regrets now, but sadly some big consequences as well. I can't even tell him I told you so, it pains me so. However, today is beautiful, have a great one!

Becca, not really sad but wish my kids had applied whole natural foods to their's and their families' lives. Sorry about your son, that must be so hard. I have a daughter whose step son has destroyed himself as well in many ways. I am thankful my girls are all in a good place and have amazing families. I'm hoping I can pass along better eating habits to at least some of my many grandkids. Your graph looks good! I am lawnmower challenged so only par for the course. LOL You must be north. I'm outside of Kansas City so in the heartland. Lovin this warm fall.

I tried to teach mine the way I was taught but they think I am so lame. I am hoping some day they change their mind. I would hate for my cooking skills to die with me.

WFN, you are very talented in many areas! You are awesome! Lawnmower troubles are so aggravating. If your lawn isn't too large, maybe you can get an electric one? Just have to work around the power cord while you mow. My neighbor is good with engines, thank goodness. He has kept mine going after they quit on me. I think I was a short order cook when my kids were small but I was big on vitamins and health, too. They got so they wouldn't eat my food without suspicion .... just like my husband is now. LMAO!!! He will ask," is that weird stuff or normal?" I tend to add veggies or herbs and he isn't into either one.
