I'm sooooooo grateful that I live in the area that I do. It's my playground and my gym! Great trails through the Gatineau Park to walk and a very active community that has all kinds of programs for folks at any age like "kickboxing". But I have to admit there are challenges on my hikes. In the last 2 weeks I've been chased by 2 porcupines, chased by a skunk over an old cover bridge and threatened by a big buck on the road (thank god that a man came around in his truck and honked his horn that sent the beast running).
Today I was coming home from my power walk at 7:30 a.m. and a neighbour advise me to be carful as there is a mama bear and her cubs running around... So today I will venture out to purchase a cow bell.
Had kickboxing last night and I just love it!!! Hard but felt good afterwords.
Onwards!!!!
