So I started the 18:6 IF yesterday and it was TOUGH. I felt awful, had a hard time sleeping and my head started hurting early in the morning. Guess that was some sort of detox going on. Hopefully the next week will be easier AND hopefully I will lose some weight. Scale is in the closet until next Monday (okay I stepped on it this morning and was at 168.6). I really needed to do this IF!

Suggestion: If you suddenly change your diet drastically and don't like headaches, take something before the headache comes : )

Angel. Your body will have a period od adjustment. Make sure to take a good full spectrum multivitamin. And make sure you are getting enough SALT and potassium. Exactly what type of Food do you eat? Because the symptoms you are describing is from Carb Withdraws. If you eat a LOT of carbs and then suddenly stop THAT will trigger all kinds of ill effects. Let me make another suggestion on TOP of the Multi Vitamin. Get coconut Oil and take some every morning to feed your brain. At LEAST two table spoons a morning. It should easy the withdraws.

Good idea Knuckles! thanks : ) Good suggestion about salt/potassium. I stopped sugar, could it be detoxing from eating so much fat before???

Actually Fat is what you WANT to help control hunger. Not Less fat. Its the Sugar and carbs you are detoxing from. Cutting fat is actually more harmful than you would believe. When I say fat, I mean good fats. Like dairy fats and meat fats. Your body needs these items to function properly. Coconut oil is EXTREMELY helpful because of the type of fat it is. And its amazing for your brain. Carbohydrates on the other hand are NOT good for you. Yes, your body can survive on carbs. But it isn't healthy like the AMA and USDA would have you believe. Carbs when digested turn DIRECTLY into sugar. And if not immediately burned turn straight to fat. And that goes for FRUIT also. If you ever listen to a single word I say in FS, I recommend looking into LCHF combined with IF. Its what I do. And mine and Phils and every other LCHF/IF person here as well. Just look how much we are losing / have lost using it. It works. VERY WELL. I would NEVER tell someone to do something that does not work. I would never try to hurt another human being. I want your success as much as you do. Probably more if that is possible.

Thanks everyone! @KTMM..I know you only want to help and you really do! I enjoy reading your posts and I always learn something from them. I just need to regroup and refocus : )

Don't rush. Take your time. Do the research. At least check Coconut oil benefits before you do anything else. That is my biggest recommendation OUTSIDE of relation to Diet. It has more benefits than just diet. Do yourself and your entire family that favor.

It may be your body adjusting. It could also be a drop in blood sugar. I can't go without eating because I get bad headaches and sick. Fasting is not for everyone. If it gets too bad, eat some protein.
