Well, I changed insurance and have a great doctor now. He is also my parents doctor too. A world of difference in the treatment I'm getting. I got an MRI Friday for my sciatic nerve pain which became unbearable. My last doctor never gave an x-ray or MRI for my back. Also my second blood test showed my hemoglobin did lower from 8.1 to 7.8 in just 2 weeks. I have severely low iron so they started me on an iron supplement. I'm taking vitamin b complex with vitamin c and my vitamin d too. I go in Monday morning to go over blood results and MRI results. Also start physical therapy wed. I'm so bummed that I can't workout. Such a depressing time right now. Just laying around on pain pills and feeling so weak. I went to my SIL'S today so my kids could play with their cousins and have fun. I couldn't hold a conversation without getting really lightheaded from anemia. I'm trying to stay positive and look forward to summer. I want to run 5ks and try crossfit but first I must get healthy. I also have an appointment with a g.i. specialist June 6th. Still quite some time before I'll get more answers. At least I've had my diet under control so that is a plus . Thanks for reading this. It helps to vent on here.

My doc is going to try and get me into g.i. specialist this week or next week. So happy with this doctor!June 6th is too far off, gotta get answers asap. Everything on my blood work was excellent except iron is soooo low and low vitamin D also. Hope these supplements kick in asap. The mri also shows a bulged disc so physical therapy wed. Hope it helps!!

You may find that the PT also helps your sciatica, especially if there is any massage included. Hopefully, you will get your health issues under control, it's really tough to concentrate on diet and exercise when you're in pain. Take it one day at a time and don't give up!!

The vitamin D can take time to increase. The iron should help you to feel better sooner. I had anemia that severe as a teenager. Iron supplements and medically prescribed oral contraceptives to reduce blood loss helped a lot. Hope you get to the root of your problem and feel much better soon! And it's a great excuse to eat steak!
