Well luckily or unluckily - I am not in the same predicament as my American friends that I do not have Thanksgiving this weekend and have already been through the paloooooza of mash potatoes, gravy and pumpkin last month -OH MAN so good. I learned a few things that I am going to try at Christmas.

1. Weighing yourself during the holiday won't give you a true picture of your weight.

2. This is your time to enjoy your new lifestyle change with smaller portions not to deprive yourself of your favorite things.

3. Weighing yourself after the holiday will also be in vain as it will take a few days for a true number - and may be more discouraging when you tighten up your diet. Give yourself a day at the very very least.

4. Do your new exercise you've started - or even start! Take a walk - with or without family... it reduces the stress of the holidays, especially if your the one behind the stove this year!

5. Don't plan on saving all day for Dinner. Eat your small meals throughout the day as normal. I promise when all is done you won't feel shafted - you will feel full and will have enjoyed every bite.

6. Take your care package - but take turkey and other things you can see fitting into your regular diet.

7. Drink water - drink water - drink water

8. HAPPY THANKSGIVING SOUTHERN FRIENDS.... I'm thinking about Christmas Turkey already... <3 all love
