Was feeling fine yesterday until I had lunch at Moe's. It's my favorite lunch place and I haven't eaten there in months so I decided to treat myself. I didn't get my usual burrito; instead I opted for the gluten-free burrito bowl. I think all of the dairy (sour cream, queso dip and cheese) bloated me because I ended up skipping dinner since I was so full. I also woke up this morning feeling bloated and apparently have gained THREE pounds since yesterday. Unbelievable.

I also had some pudding made with cow's milk around 8 p.m., so I really did have a lot of dairy yesterday (compared to how much I've been consuming since starting this diet).

I wonder how much of my belly bloat is really from gluten, and how much is dairy-related. Going to cut out ALL dairy today and weigh in tomorrow to see.

Breakfast:
• hot cocoa (1.5 cups cashew milk, 2.5 tablespoons Ghirardelli cocoa mix)

Lunch:
• frittata (homemade, gluten-free & dairy-free)
• made with 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of pancetta, 1 small yellow onion (cooked in the pancetta grease)]

Dinner:
• beef stew, homemade (steak, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, beef broth cornstarch)
• biscuits (gluten-free, homemade), 2 tablespoons of strawberry jam

Snack:
• 1 cup of Smart Puffs
• 1 dark chocolate square

Hi it looks great way to treat your self but you can not gain 3 pounds in one day what about the sizes of the things you ate ? but I gain two pounds in 1 week and I did less exercise and i ate more calories. I think probably it was something more than just one day. but keep it up I am doing the same as well changing everything this week to see if I can bring down my weight how about you?

I'm scratching my head about those three pounds. I know I was bloated, but come on! I ordered a burrito bowl and ate the whole serving but it wasn't excessively big. It was a scoop of chicken, scoop of rice, scoop of tomatoes, etc. They made it fresh in front of me. I remember when I could eat two burritos, a soda and a cookie in one sitting at Moe's without blinking! Now a gluten-free burrito bowl is making me bloated. :( I haven't exercised in weeks. You may be onto something there; I'm going to run on the elliptical today and weigh in tomorrow. Hopefully those 3 mystery pounds are gone by then.

You may have consumed excess salt in that meal (or maybe even MSG?) and your body is holding water, hence adding lbs...

I would guess it is the daily and salt - not the gluten.

I'm sure there was a lot of salt as you guys said, since it was prepared in a restaurant. That's a good point. I went dairy-free today so tomorrow should be a lot better.
