Pterath's Journal, 22 August 2015

Woke in a fog of not having the desire to move and desperately tried to remain still and fall back to sleep. Too late my mind started churning and I was completely awake fog dissipated in what felt like an instant. Up, I trudge, still not wanting to leave the luxurious comfort. I glanced at the time and it was almost 8 hours that I had been in bed which made me feel better. The sun was rising and I had a hungry kitty when I entered the kitchen. There she sat waiting patiently, Ripley is not normal, my previous feline companions would have been in my bed crying mom, mom, mom! MEOW! I am hungry! No not Ripley she waits for my presence to make her needs known. So, I fed the little love and have have many excited thoughts of moving things into my kitchen and getting the fans reassembled and the light fixture covers up. There is a lot to do best get hopping.

I like the Irish proverb, and your cat sounds sweet! Have a good day, Kelly!

Oh, I wish my Kitty was as respectful. Beau loudly asks for his breakfast.

Crabby Kat - Ripley is a MaineCoone kitty she is not full grown and 2.5 yrs old and 10 lbs and she will continue to grow til 3-5 yrs old. Not sure she is full coone because she was a stray found and I adopted her at a shelter. Heidi - I liked it too! Glen, I need completion! Hope y'all have a great day!

I also like the Irish saying. Can almost picture you trudging through the mud in the fog with you shoes caked. LOL Most days are that way for me as well, want to sleep in but can't past 6:30. Today I did but it was a late night, my pup didn't want to move either. MaineCoon's are interesting critters. When you get done, you can come help me with all your expertise.... I would love a couple months off work to just work on my house. Won't happen.

Fridge, freezer and stove in as well as 3 radiators are in their final resting places... 3 other radiators got to play musical homes. Once the baseboards are in the game room one more will get it's seat. Plus loads of boxes unpacked and things washed and put away. The dishwasher is taking it's maiden voyage. Which only covered 1/4 of the things that were washed and more to come. Ran into a few hiccups and I have a lot of stuff to touch up and somethings need more than a touch up (ie contractor's expertise will be put into play yet again) but we are closer every day to this renovation meeting its end. I am dead tired and it is only 4 pm. And I am about to throttle my kids. Rule number one in my house is you do not interrupt mom when she is with customers in the game shop. I have made mistakes in the past that have cost us $$ when I have had both kids enter fighting over silly nonsense. No mistake was made today but when it happens not 1x with a kind warning but 7 times in the 20 mins especially as I am cashing him out on the last instance I am about to lose my mind. Mind you I am so exhausted I am struggling to maintain clarity of thought while being cordial with the customer and having these interruptions. He left and all I have been is furious. I was going to order pizza for the kids but now I am not. We were going to make a trip to Walmart and now I don't care if we go or not. Added to this exhaustion is the fact that we broke the pressure regulator off the biggest of the beasts (nearing 500 lbs of cast iron metal). It is not beyond repair but it is a complicated fix because the threads of the pipe fitting were sheered off and left part stuck inside the other pipe. We probably even have a spare regulator somewhere (if we can find it) but my frustration tolerance is at max capacity already and then they break the Golden Rule. I have been trying to calm down but all I feel is like quitting for the day and plugging into my game and ignoring the rest of the world. It is sad when things like this and *saying it outloud* brings me crumbling to tears. I know I am overtired and maybe I just need to be done with this day.

no customers in store and then friends dropped over. I avoided the social circle and cannot even talk to my husband without crying. I think I am over stressed so I am going skip dinner, shower and go to bed now that I have closed the shop.

and I am biting everyone's heads off. I need for everything to just stop and I lack the energy to walk to put any effort forth.

oh my! I think a time with some relaxing music thru the headphones is in order, along with a soothing cuppa herbal tea. I hope things get better tomorrow.
