After so many weeks of weight loss I've decided to eat more junk food(cakes, chips, etc.) than I usually would eat and pick my calories up. I don't really have cravings for junk food but I want to see how badly it affects my weight loss progress. I enjoy experimenting :)

Most junk foods are full of salt, sugar or trans fats. I know it's just an experiment but try to get back to good choices soon. Addiction to junk food is a reality as the brain literally "lights up" like a pinball machine. Look forward to seeing your findings.

you can pick your calories up in much healthier ways than eating junk food

Well noted LCFF and Howzat4u. My intention here is to see just how much the bad eating will affect my progress. I'll get back on track after my next weigh-in :)

WHy? it's not healthy good nutrition. Why put your body through eating that crud? Sorry it makes no sense to me.

It will be interesting to hear your findings Big Boy. I've been doing that, pretty much eating whatever I like on non-fast days and the weight's still been coming off. I think slower than it would have if I had been watching my non-fast days. Saying that, I've had two days of really tucking into the 'bad' stuff, totally overindulging and I feel terrible! Very keen to hear how you go on this change.

Wholefoodnut I guess it's just the inquiring mind that I have. I want to test the idea that one really can eat whatever they want and lose weight. I've not been strict with the type of foods that I've eaten so far and I kept within a reasonable daily calorie intake but now I've added some cakes and other sugary snacks. If I still lose weight it won't mean that I will settle into eating those foods. It's just a practical test so that I can learn what my body is capable of.
