Pterath's Journal, 01 August 2015

Got up later this morning. Did not sleep well mainly because I went to bed with my dawgs barking and I woke still with pain in my feet. And yes I took some ibuprofen. Looks like I have swelling in the arch, so my plantar fascitis flared really bad this is not happy with me and would prefer I not walk today. At least the heel spurs have not joined in the argument. However, my eyes are running again but today before I could consider a walk. Tree pollen is high - so I suffer. So, I am skipping on walking this morning will reconvene the argument with feet and eyes later today and see if they are willing to allow me a walk. Knowing I am going to be on my feet painting the ceiling in the game room and on ladders off and on today I imagine they will argue against but we shall wait and see. I really want to walk. Only a high of 75 for today so hoping I can get one in later as long as the eyes and the feet do not refuse to go along with the whole idea again.

So, as I said painting and lots of it in the days forecast on the WIP that is my house. Darn I would love to see color go on the walls before the weekend is out. Hubby has promised me aid this weekend. And that means getting all the cardboard and wood to the recyclers and the trash to the dump. No we do not have trash pick up. There is probably 2-3 trips worth of stuff in there. But we only have til noon to get it done and Hubby has to do orders first. He will also be clearing out the kitchen of junk and prepping the floors in the kitchen for the hardwood floors, I am hoping to be laying floors by Monday-Tuesday. And I have a grocery list for him.

Kids will get chores like cleaning litter boxes, laundry, sweeping, lawn mowing, dusting in the shop.

Here is the weeks images of my progress:

Yea! you're losing! Sorry the eyes and feet don't want to cooperate but sometimes they know things we don't so pay attention. I'm excited that your floors will finally be in that's a huge accomplishment and will make you feel like a lot has been done!

WOW it looks so good. That door is a huge change!!! Nice front door! Good work! Take care of you feet and take some allergy meds. Nasocort allergy inhaler will help with your eyes, there are also some allergy drops avail. I would tell you stay off of your feet for a bit but I know you won't .

I have Zyrtec here at home and take it daily but does not help my eyes as well. I will look into the inhaler when I can get the car and some freedom. The Front door will be Navy BLue when I am done with it but it is not hitting the priority list ATM. I can't if I want to stay on schedule and being on my feet in the long run helps plantar fasciatis. stretching that connective tissue walking or standing on edge of stair balancing on the balls of my feet then raising to tip toe and lowering below step height helps too. Standing in the arch on a ladder is no help. TG for extention arm for my roller keeps me off the ladder some!

Fabulous old house that is gong to be gorgeous. REST, please. You are doing a lot with the house - let your feet relax. I use pseudophedrine over the counter. I used to use Zyrtec.

The kitchen is huge now that we took out a wall. It was 13.5x15 additional opening is 11x12 so full length is 25.5 ft. x11 or x15 depending upon which part you are in. the Chimney wall is in the bigger area. but there are 4 windows and 4 doorways.

Light does help!! That is a big kitchen!! I'm loving my new lighting and having a ceiling fan in part of my kitchen. Hope you love yours when they get in.

Oh and how it does help to have light! I am excited to get light in there tomorrow to aid in seeing as I paint with colors instead of going blind looking for changes in the white so I know where I start and stop! ! more coat of ceiling paint and trimming around the edges and I will have the main ceiling done. I still have the section in the bay to do but that was a non-critical area for today and far too complex really without the light. *sighs* Of to DIY some more!

Oh yeah hard with two shades of white!! My ceiling I think is finally touched up and hopefully I caught those shade of white where the wall primer escaped onto the already painted ceiling. Am replacing outlets and switches with new white ones the old are beige and look dingy with the white woodwork. Need to go back to my projects.
