The struggle is real folks, or at least for me.. I've been letting this bs at work really stress me out and I'm sidetracked. I've been lazy for a few days, not really wanting to work out or log my food, cheating here and there and making excuses and blaming others for my evil ways. I'm so full it right now..I really feel, no I know, it might be depression .. bc I admit, I'm depressed about these changes. I feel like it a step down not up and who wants that at work right. I've expressed my concerns but I feel like they are being put on the back burner. I'm not sure how to feel. I want to say meh, and just go with it, put on my attack hat, dig my heels and just do a damn good job but my hearts not in it. I'm having a heard time being excited about work and that's so not me.. Im always a team player, a teachers pet. Anyway, the reason I posted here is bc like I mentioned, its getting to me and Im suffering diet wise and I need to stop. I need to snap out of it and say ef it! At least I have a job and stop whining and get back into beast mode and start paying attention to me, my diet, my workouts, my son, bc when I dont work out, he was to walk at the park for exercise and focus on the good things. I went out, bought a lot of good healthy stuff for the week, got some supplments and am committed to getting back on track. Goals : Get back to logging, water , water , water, fiber and water and get back to the gym.

I heard somewhere how to shift the minds of everyone at work to make it more pleasant for ourselves. {even our own minds}. I was in a similar situation. I gave it a try. One employee up and quit and the other couldn't be more helpful to me. I have the best working conditions now that I could ever ask for. PM me if you have questions!

Glad you shared your feelings. Seems like there is an epidemic of BS at work. But you are planning your work week with a positive attitude and that is half the battle. Good luck.

Keep yourself and your son in mind and you should be able to get back on track. Don't let them get you down!

It's good that you can get these things off your chest in this kind of forum and everyone seems to be very supportive. May I suggest that you consider counseling if you haven't already? Mental wellness is vital to overall wellness and depression can be a serious issue - I have been there! Talking with someone trained to help can be very rewarding. I wish you the best!

So they say, think well of the people you resent, hope they get everything you want for yourself - the act of thinking well of them heals you - not them. And, if they get what you want - they will leave for a better job and you will be free!

I think all of us have worked with another person who might receive credit but does not work and earn it.. Even at the top there is bs and so much more stress to deal with,solutions....do your job to the best of your ability and keep A calm mind and a smile on your face......let the others do their own work or let them fail... Good luck with your plan don't let them win the battle ,you have done great,a big pat on the back to you,The boss should know your worth and reward you !! Hang around & see, attitude is your best friend at work and sometimes at home.

Thank you everyone for such support. I needed this and I knew I could get it here. Tomorrow is a new day and turning over a new leaf. I was good on my diet all day, me and the kid ate lots and lots of veggies and plenty of water and Ive logged it all. I had to work so the kid went out for run and then it started to rain so I didnt get mine in but I did make plans to drive my mom tomorrow so I can drive straight to the gym afterwards. Tomorrow Im going to mentally prepare for all the changes at work and put up the good fight! go me !

You are going to get back into your "groove." I think the hardest part of staying on target is when we have the "celebrations" or "life interruptions" that move us off for a few days. We seem to lose the steam and the motivation...we all know that the plan works and we feel better but there is just something about getting it restarted. You have done such a good job for several months and I know that you will start doing well again as soon as you have a few days back into the program. I, too, am struggling...but as you know, this is the place to get one's mojo started again! Yay, you!

Best of luck with the situation. I find working out relieves much of the stress from the work day. I end up smiling instead of dealing with the craziness of my job and some of the people there. I'm thankful that I have a job, good benefits, and it pays the bills.
