I am trying to figure out which protein powder is the best one. I have tried a couple. Just wondering if anyone has a favorite and why? And why does it say "not for weight loss"?

Fairly certain that disclaimer is covering some "legal concern" that the company legal dept. would have...Not certain, but best guess is IF they say that, then they have NO liability if persons use it for weight loss without being under the direct care of a physician. If anyone knows more, I would gladly hear their MORE informed explanation....BTW Congrats on your most recent loss!!!!!!!

I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey, get it from Amazon. It's supposed to be superior quality protein from US sources, it's instantized so mixes well with just a spoon or shaker. Tastes much better than the stuff I got from the grocery store, better quality, and about the same price.

You might try Metagenics UltraMeal Supplement powder, which is the only protein powder that is considered Medical Food by the USDA. You can get it on Amazon but if you want to check it out first go to metagenics.com which has a full line of terrific supplement products. I first knew about this from my nutritionist and when I was using it I lost pounds pretty quickly while maintaining a feeling of fullness all day long. I have been using it off and on for several years. I am on it now and don't know why I ever stopped. It is a great source of protein and tastes really good. I use it as a meal replacement, especially in the morning when I'm not really wanting a whole breakfast. There are several flavors including vanilla (my favorite) chocolate, strawberry and peach. Check it out. If you do, let me know what you think. And good luck.
