Went to the doctor's this morning and i lost a total of 17 lbs. since my last visit - my goal weight loss for this visit was 16 lbs. so i BEAT IT!!! YAY!! Appointment in 3 months with a 12 lb. weight loss goal (my final goal). I can do it.

Found 6 things that helped me a lot -
1) rye toast doesn't have the same negative affect on the body (i.e. insulin, etc.) as other breads, so added light rye toast with some meals - only 50 calories and 10 carbs a slice.
2) substituted Jones all natural turkey breakfast sausages rather than pork sausages - WAY, WAY less calories - and have it every morning with eggs and rye toast.
3) almost never skip breakfast - my favorite meal now.
4) have lettuce wraps with whatever (chicken salad, ham & swiss or whatever i want wrapped in grean leaf lettuce) almost every day for lunch. The lettuce gives it crunch rather than just eating the chicken salad or meat and cheese plain. A little more satisfying
5) a cup of chicken or beef boullion in the evening sometimes takes the 'edge' off as it's salty and sometimes satisfies those evening cravings.
6) adding sweet potato with almost every evening meal makes it extra yummy and so much better for your diet.
149.5 lb Lost so far: 14.5 lb.    Still to go: 14.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 2.8 lb a week
