One full month back on FS and things are going well. I am down just over 9 lbs! (I never re-set my start weight, but I was over 180 on that morning after the Superbowl! :P )

I have been quite successful in a number of areas: SUGAR has been reduced a lot. I never planned to cut it out completely, but I have managed to avoid candy and cookies and brownies and all those other assorted goodies that I used to eat daily. WATER consumption has been good. I completed the 2 week water challenge. I have been a water drinker for a long time, so this wasn't too hard, but it helped me become aware of how much I drink and concentrate on drinking with each meal or snack. EXERCISE has been fairly regular. I am pleased with the workouts that I set up with the trainer at the gym and will continue with that. I have been faithfully entering into my FOOD LOG everyday. This helps me immensely to pay attention to what I put into my mouth and to balance out the foods that I love but are not as good for me. My ATTITUDE has been really good. This time around I feel like I will do it, no doubt! My approach has not been, as in previous false starts, thinking about dieting and depriving myself of yummy foods, but rather I have been actively seeking ways to replace those foods, to develop a taste for snacks I would have turned my nose up at before.

Always, there is room for improvement though. My goals for this month include eating more VEGETABLES. I have been doing better with this, but I can fit more into each day's menu. I want to try new ways to prepare them and more combinations to keep it interesting. I love to cook and I just need to take all that energy that used to go into baking goodies into preparing vegetable goodness. I would also like to have a regular HOME WORKOUT that I can do on days I don't make it to the gym. Also, I will be going to visit family next month and I am already looking ahead to avoid falling off track while I am there. Exercise I can do at the house would make that easier. Mostly, I want to CONTINUE on the path I have found for myself.

Wishing you all a wonderful March!

CONGRATS on 9 POUNDS!! I wish :) We are kindred spirits. I am committed to a "new life": focusing, as you are, on changing my lifestyle for good rather than a diet deprivation attitude. I feel this time is different for me as well. Cant count the times I've started and stopped. Just being one month into is a big step for me. That i didnt quit with just a 2 pound loss. Try grokker.com - great home workout site. Good luck

both of you are inspiring me, thank you, I need to get back on track, Lost 59, gained 11 back since October and am struggling to get back in the right Mindset. thank you both, I love your attitude and will keep in touch with you. I am excited to find a group that loves wine too. I did not give it up while losing the 59 but did change to champagne due to the lower calorie content and also it didn't mess with my loss of willpower as much as wine did. That being said, still love wine moreā€¦...
