Beef won't make you gain weight. Any protein is great for your body. It could be water weight, or even you gaining muscle mass which is also fine!

Don't sweat it, only 1.1 lb

Was there a lot of sodium?

Second what Panigale and DanzingRules say. 1.1. isn't much and your weight changes throughout the day. Your food wouldn't make a difference unless you ate 1000's of calories in one sitting.

Panigale1199, I have a beef intolerance. It does make me gain.

Glen, I compete at least once a year. As long as the funds are there for me. And I know 1.1 is not a lot. I just note this so I can keep track of what does what to me when I eat it. I have a bunch of food allergies, so I make notes for competition purposes.

Doesn't appear to be a serious gain, so don't get discouraged... :)

Sbrit405, I'm not. Again, it's just a mental note for myself, for when I eat what I have the intolerances for. Thanks for all the support everyone!

I am the same with white rice. 1 cup = 1lb.

You certainly have it under control. Knowing what triggers what type of gain or loss is great information to note. Obviously, as you said, no worries ... good luck at your next competition.
