JennBuck61's Journal, 26 February 2015

I had the early morning run to drop off my daughter at the competition. So, while we were there waiting for her teacher to arrive, we received a message that her animation partner was sick with the stomach flu and could not make it!!! In true form, she started expressing empathy for the young man (he's 17 and graduating from High School this year) and how important the competition was for him because he plans to study animation after high school. We were not sure what to do because it was supposed to be a dual effort and they are the only competitors for her high school. She decided to stay and compete on her own. Such a little trooper. I reminded her that it's about the experience and not the win, before leaving her there. She seems like such a small, shy little rabbit - but I know she has a quiet thunder. Her teacher was so thrilled that she decided to go for it - her dad less so (over-protective).

I had my bullet-proof coffee and I am good to go. I need to make some headway on that Business Development plan. Research day .... I hope you all have a wonderful day my friends! Be golden ...

That's the blessing I think .. to see your children grown and doing well with their own families. I look forward to that phase!!!

It is, they didn't have the opportunities your daughter has had, however they doing well. They are strong independent women with spouses they butt heads with occasionally but they work it out and all is good. their children are doing well and have more opportunities than mine did, so all is good. I do have one step grandson that has issues, no matter what step mom and dad have tried to do, he has followed the footsteps of his biological mom, he's now.
