So excited today. Decided to test my sugar this morning it was 101. Then 2 hours after lunch it was 97. I haven't seen numbers like that in years. This low carb diet is working miracles. Losing weight and keeping my blood sugar levels normal. Thank you GOD!

Amazing isn't it? I am super healthy now even though I may still have plenty of body fat...

Yes HCB... I am feeling better everyday. I even sleep less then before starting this diet. I would sleep 11-14 hours a day before. Now I am lucky if I sleep 6-8. My body has more energy and wants to move and motivate :)

Outstanding. Once I got away from the refined sugars and eliminated all soft drinks and sugary drinks like sweet tea, my sugar readings dropped quickly and now my AC1 is now at 5.7. I have stopped using insulin. Hopefully as I lose more weight and get into better shape I can stop taking metformin.

Yes I am diabetic and working towards better blood sugar control as I got neuropathy in my feet. I never felt so horrible physically and emotionally. I allowed myself to get this way. Sure I came home from Afganistan with PTSD and basically vegetated. Just gave up on life! Went from 224lbs to 398lbs...I was killing myself...So now I want to get my life back and live it to the fullest for myself, my wife, our children and grandchildren :)

PTSD is awful, so sorry. Sarge, getting control of those carbs will definitely help you on your way to healthier. Take it slow with losing so your body adapts along the way. I have family and friends who are diabetic. If it's type 2 with your weight loss you may even get out of the diabetic status eventually like some on this site have managed to do. Grandkids are a blast! Mine are liking having a gramma who can do more things with them now that my chronic pain and headaches are gone.
