Happy Friday Everyone. Weekend looks great around SW Ohio ... leaves are at their fall peak. Just me and my better half kicking around the house this weekend - the kids are with our ex's. Relaxing. A lot of homework and housework to tackle this weekend ... and some golf.

Weights and measures good. Muscle measures stay the same, dropped 1/2" from my belly. After 2 -3 weeks of stall, it finally shook loose. I always say, it's rarely linear. My body(I imagine) was not accepting that I wanted to go lower, but finally relented. :) Happy.

Cardio day + leaf raking/blowing today.

I hope you all have a great weekend ... and continue your successes. Enjoy!

Nice job on the weight drop, way to go! Cleaning up leaves is good exercise. I've got so many huge trees on and around my yard that I use a mower to mulch them up as long as I can, eventually they're so thick they clog it up and then it's time to rake, blow, and bag. Have a great day.

i try to keep up with mowing/mulching too, but we back up to a green space, so I just blow it to the back. It's love/hate for me and our very tree'd neighborhood. Couldn't imagine not having them, but spring and fall is tough to keep up with seeds and leaves. Have a great day yourself.

Nice drop! I only have two trees and the leaves from those trees drive me crazy. I'm on the wrong side of the street as far as the wind goes. I always get my neighbors leaves blowing my way and since I live in an adult community, a lot of them can't get out anymore to clear them like they used too. I do the best I can for them, and usually clean up my neighbors leaves when I clean mine. I use a blower/vacuum combo that vacuums them up and mulches them into a bag.

Chillie I use a vac too that mulches the leaves up. I don't know that it saves time but it sure saves wear and tear on my back. I have a huge Beech tree that holds it's leaves until Spring, my neighbor hates it, we had a heated discussion about it last year. Not much I can do about which way the wind blows and it was here when I bought the house. I have another neighbor who chooses not to rake leaves and they end up blowing all over my lawn. Oh well...whoever's lawn the leaves end up on get the fun of cleaning them up, that's just life I guess. I think the neighborhood looks nicer with mature trees than it would without them.

Thx fellas. Willie it's great that you help others. It is tough to keep up with though. I have a blower/vacuum combo too but I'm w Jim , I spend more time emptying it than anything. Honestly Jim how can your neighbor argue over which way the wind blows. Some people ... Sheesh.

I bought this contraption that fits over a trash can with a hose attached that replaces your blower bag. You put a large plastic bag in the trash can, fit this mesh cover over the top, hook the hose up to your unit (it has different attachments to fit most vacuums) and when you vacuum the leaves, the mulch goes right into the trash can. When your done, you just pull the plastic bag from the trash can and get rid of it. It does have some cons to it. 1) It does tend to get dusty 2) The cover seems to flap over the edge of the can filled with the mulch which makes it hard to remove cover without mulch falling all over 3) Its hard to get around dragging the hose and trash can along with the extension cord. I get around all this by clamping the top just beneath the lip of the can and I tie the can to a cart that rolls. My wife usually handles pulling the cart behind me while I vacuum. If you blow all the leaves into big piles, it is much easier to vacuum them up into a can. I still prefer to do this than to empty that bag over and over. Next year, I'll buy a new trash can with a bigger mouth and on wheels, that should take care of most of the cons.

Chillie we're on the same page, sounds like we've got the same set up and idea. I use a cardboard funnel to dump the leaves from the can into paper leaf bags as I can't get them picked up if they're in plastic. A little messy doing the dump but easy to suck up whatever falls. My first year in this house I filled 78 bags, that was a chore. Since then I've mulched them with the mower as much as possible and end up with probably half that many bags.

We mulch ours with the mower and leave them on the lawn But we don't have 78 bags full. That is a whole lot of leaves.

I figure it all goes to calorie burn. Wasn't bad today.
