Weighed again this morning just out of curiosity since the only snack I had yesterday was an apple:

140 lbs
18.5 fat
56.3 water
38.0 muscle

I am going to change the batteries in my scale because there is no way 18.5 is right on the body fat. Last night, my body fat registered 23% at Curves.

Those body fat scales aren't super accurate. They will change based on your body composition and how much water you gain and lose throughout the day. It's a guideline to help you.

I agree. I"ve heard from different FS members that they are pretty accurate, but I really think I'm in the low 20's....NO way am I 18.5% :D

Yeah even the food in your digestive tract can affect the reading, so just take it as a ball park number. If you want to know your true bodyfat measurement you could always have it measured by a local trainer. Not sure how much they would charge.
