wholefoodnut's Journal, 23 August 2014

I'm spending to much time on this site, it's addicting. I need to start not getting on it right after work; my goal for the upcoming week. Other goals gym days, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday will be cardio days at home and the 6 minute and bathroom challenge. Eat good dinners instead of a snack.

2260 kcal Activities & Exercise: Weight Training (moderate) - 45 minutes, Housework - 6 hours, Resting - 9 hours and 15 minutes, Sleeping - 8 hours. more...

Smiles!!! Still at least early am and winding down for the day. Just finding myself spending my whole evening here, and not accomplishing other things.

I agree with you ! It's totally addictive, even if I don't comment, I come on several times to see what's going on with everyone! What's the 6 minutes and bathroom challenge??? That caught my interest

6 minute one is 2 minutes each a day of squats, push-ups and sit-ups. Bathroom one is squats, leg raises and knee raises everyday starting with 10each and building up. I do adaptive sit-ups and push-ups due to old injuries using exercise balls. Am on here while eating some lunch will be good and won't stay here for hours :))

I know, I try to go through the first 5 screens, anything after that just doesn't get seen. But your buddies know you love them. Your schedule looks great. Keep up the good work.

Just getting back into maybe a sane schedule. Cardio today is mowing the grass in the heat. Heading out there in a few, at least get the front yard done.

Yay!! Totally not weight related.... just a god part of my day. In my travels this am I had a feeling it was a good day to check sewing machines at thrift stores on my way home from the gym. Oldest GD wants one, mom asked me to look, so far had found nothing good for her. Only Singers and really old straight stitch machines, mostly Kenmore. Second one had a Necchi that looked good for $23.00. Bought it. Have checked it out, oiled it, cleaned off the dust. I don't think it has ever been used, no lint internally, still has packages of the original needles that came with the machine. Works beautifully. Mostly metal interior with just a couple plastic gears in perfect shape, no wear. Wish my lawnmower worked as well.

Sewing is fun!!! I can't remember not sewing!! ♥♥♥

I can't either, learned to sew when I was little. I remember sitting on my aunt's lap sewing on her treadle machine. I actually have nine sewing machines, I use 4 of them, 2 of those are antiques, the others are also antiques that each one is missing one part (someday I'll find parts for them). Plus my big industrial quilting machine. looking forward to getting back to quilting. Too many projects have gotten in the way.

If there was such thing as a healthy addiction, it would be to this site. My health is getting in order because of my buddies and those who have the proven track record (check their logs, I pay close attention because I am serious about winning this battle) Good luck with this week's goals.

J, you sound like me!! I have several machines around here!! I remember trying to use my dear grandmothers treadle machine when I was 5. When my girls were little I did Engish Smocking. Loved it!!! Have a little dress going now for my great niece. Along with several other projects!!! B.... ♥

Agreed, I would not be at goal weight without this site. I also would not be in the much improved mental state. It's that I'm not getting things done in my life because I'm on here too much, I just need to decrease the time some. Goals for me now are finding balance, decreasing stress, and getting fit. I also want to get my ldl/hdl to better numbers. They are ok but not where I want them. I will win this also and have been challenged by this journey into being healthy.
