Another fasting day!

I am trying to savor my 195cal tuna salad. It might be odd, but I add chili flakes to my tuna salads. I think it goes well with the balsamic. It also makes me eat it slower, and, if the theory is correct, speeds up my metabolism a little.

The fasting destroyed my gym session today, though. Only burned 265 on the treadmill, and cut my strength training in half.

Only 66 days until Jamaica. It's very unlikely that I'll lose these fifteen pounds that cling to me. =/

One day you eat about 600 calories and the other you eat over your RDI. The better and healthier way would be if you zigzagged your calories from 1000- 1400 calories. That way you would still have the strength to exercise. Losing muscle will slow down your metabolism. If you ate like that and exercised, there is no reason why you couldn't lose at least 12 lb in 66 days. Since you're already thin and your body doesn't want to give up the remaining fat it goes a bit slower for you.

@Snezica The theory behind the 5:2 is that on the normal five days, you can eat whatever you please. I have no intention of doing that in the future, personally. Since I ALWAYS eat over my RDI, I hope that the fast days will help to shrink my stomach to accommodate only my RDI's worth. When I used to properly fast (only coffee and water) for several days at a time, I used to do several hours of exercise a day without trouble so I'm sure it's simply a matter of getting used to the restricted days again. In any case, it's certainly worth a shot, and I think that I quite like fasting.
