Tenbody, Your weight may easily fluctuate 2-4 lbs pending per day on the amount of water in your body. Key is to drink LOADS!! of water. This will actualy reduce water retention (Disclaimer: so i have heard). Keep rolling, exercising, and make good choices for YOUR body.

Thanks runechristensen...I just thought it was odd. I normally drink diet coke and monsters and almost no water so this is been a hard change for me but one I look forward too.

I am a diet coke addict as well - putting slices of lemon and leaves of mint plus ice in the water makes it more "drinkable" for me, you may want to try this.

You burn calories even when you're not doing anything. My body burns approximately 3778 calories during the course of an average day for me, which consists of Desk work, sitting, driving, cleaning/cooking, resting and sleeping. It all depends on your weight and how your body works and how you eat and such. Of course, that's when my body is healthy.

2 days ago i did my health rider and burned 534 calories and it said sleeping 8 hours 790 and resting 15 hours 30 mins 1701..total 3025 calories burned i dont like that..why cant they just put the burned calories that u actually did like exercise

My guess is that if you burned 4000 calories (yeah, go you!) that you put on 1) muscle and 2) water weight. Muscles that are used more than they were used recently tend to hold a lot of water. Continue with the exercise, drink extra water (helps flush the held water out), and be proud of you. 4,000 calories - whether it miscounted some or not - is awesome. I am impressed!!!!!!

Don't worry about the scale. How are your cloths fitting? How are you feeling? Those are very important indicators. Sometimes, it takes a while to show up on the scale.

Water weight from sodium, stress, medications, inflammation, sickness, exercise, genetics, etc. Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations.

The first weeks of joining this site I had made the mistake of logging all daily activities on top of the RDI I selected, and was wondering what I was doing wrong. Then I realized that the RDI already includes daily activities and I was actually double counting, misleading myself. I corrected this and started to lose weight. A friend shared a site for more accurate calculations, which really helped me : 'iifym.com'From Calculators tab you select TDEE Calculator, select Mifflin-St.Jeor and put in your measurements then select "couch potato" activity level to see the calorie range you need to stick to without any exercise. That is a great indication.

I agree with AilaOne......that is where I have made mistakes thinking about used calories.
