You know the phrase "slow down and smell the roses", right? Well, it totally pays off.

So I've been going to a local park that's very popular with trail runners and mt bikers called Rockville Hills for years. It's pretty much the local hotspot with lots of great trails and loops that you can do despite the park being relatively small. So yesterday I went trail running there and I decided to check out a couple paths that I've always noticed but had never actually gone on. And to my amazement, the paths lead to some phenomenol singletrack trails that are are just begging to be rolled on by knobby and grippy tires. I cannot wait to try it out (and hopefully not tumble down the hillside on the south side which had rocky singletrack on a steep section of hill lol. but if I do, I'll have it on camera at least!). I've got a whole new playground at the park: The Upper and Lower Tilleys, Manzanita Trail, and best of all, the Devil's Backbone. Oooohhhh yeaaaaaaaaaa >=D

Some phots of Rockville Hills (not mine)

So my point is, sometimes it's great to slow it down, get out of your comfort zone, and check out something new. You may be amazed at what you find!

Yay for finding new trails! I need to remember to check out the video clips this weekend. Maybe it will inspire me to go riding.

Biking is really a lot of fun and great exercise! I dig all sorts of ride styles... I like it slow (with great scenery), fast (on the downhills), and rough (technical single track trails). But I have to say, a combination of fast and rough are my faves (bahaha). Uphills can suck, but the downhills are the payoff and the cardio benefit rocks.

Haha thx. I think. 4 days of offroad biking fun. Sounds like a great vacation away from the hustle and bustle of normal everyday life! Have a great ride too, although it seems like you always do!
