Wandering around the fourms this morning and I ran across this post titled NEAT (non exercise activity thermogenesis). I have heard about this theory before and was reading through the responses and there was this one by mikefarinha with a link to an acticle called The Fat Trap. (Wish I knew how to post links, would make this much easier) I'm not a big follower of studies as they seem to often prove opposite sides of view depending on how they are conducted but this one really resonated with me. It did help me understand why I have always failed to maintain a weight loss in the past. It well worth checking out but be warned it not very good news. I knew this weight loss was going to be a big challenge, but this made me realize just how big a challenge it was going to be.

Weather is warming up so it looks good for a walk with the dogs today...as long as I can pry myself away from this damn computer.

hey, i just looked that up on google. YUP, a body in motion basically burns more than the desk person. Step away from the computer :-) Happy dog happy mom!

Hope you enjoyed your walk with your puppies..glad its warming up in your part of the country...I know what you mean about sitting at the computer..Its hard to let it alone..:O)

I feel like I would be so much more productive if I didn't have the internet at my house... *sigh* but I'll never get rid of it! Ha! Hope you got out there with the dogs!
