Haha just 6lbs for this week. 2 8oz burgers not shown for our dinner. All those are 6oz. About 13 8 think..

I made up a batch of chili with 8# of meat. One meal down and froze the rest for two more. 🙂 Tomorrow I hope to make up chicken for chicken and noodles, fajitas and chicken noodle soup. Also want to make taco meat and taco soup. I plan to make 7-10 days worth of meals to freeze. Anything with noodles I’ll wait and add them the night we eat the meal. I LOVE prepping in advance and having all the nutrition info ready for easy logging!

Oh yes, it's chili season! Can't wait to make up some white chili, deer chili, etc. I'm not a bean fan, I add mushrooms to all of them.

😆 lol Cb1006 you should share your beanless chili recipe! Do the mushrooms lose their flavor in the chili?

I don’t add beans either. Sometimes I add some for hubby but only after I dish up the rest of ours. This was half beef and half elk. He goes on another hunt in a week or so plus he will get a deer this winter (or 3). If he feels like grinding that up then I’ll make chili out of those animals too. I’m not a chili person as I find it spicy. But with enough cheese added I can eat it lol.

I will! I don't think they do.. But I love mushrooms. I feel like they take on flavors especially slow cooking.

I love mushrooms but can't imagine their flavor in my usual chili recipe. I miss chili

Why can you not have chili? Does it have a lot of carbs? Mine is usually meat, chili powder and water or tomato paste if I have it on hand. For the family I can add tomatoes, onions, beans etc. Or are you keeping a low protein diet?

Peeperjj im on a low carb diet. And my chili is usually full of beans. I guess I could sub in more meat 😬

Ah ok. I was thinking you were low carb. I don’t eat beans so have no idea if they are carbs fats or protein lol. Hubby and one kid like them. One kid doesn’t but will eat them. I and the other kiddo won’t touch them! Too many tummy issues with any kind of bean other than green beans.
