I am not happy this scale is not moving! and no I'm not building muscle. 3 weeks in ketosis and almost no loss. at first I think my calories were too high. that's starting to get under control and I think the massive hunger is going away. Good thing is my BP is still normal on keto diet. I'm not going back! I'm focusing on intermittent fasting. hopefully my body will get the signal no sugar for fuel! CHOP CHOP TIME to start burning fat. if people who moc fat people only knew how hard it can be for us.

I’ve been Keto for 4 weeks now and I’ve barely lost any weight on the scale either. I actually lost more weight prior to switching to Keto by just doing low carb but I had crazy cravings that led me to binge eat a couple of times a week and I was always hungry but never satisfied. At least with Keto, I’m not hungry And I don’t have cravings! I don’t even miss half the foods I use to mindlessly eat. So stay the course we’ll get there eventually!

Have you been measuring yourself? I’m seeing inches lost even though the scale just barely moves

Hi crashtrstdawnie. No exact measuring, but clothes are still tight. If I was losing they would start to fit. This is defiantly wayyy better than trying to stick to 1000 calories a day and starving on low fat stupid diet! I've gotten rid of most dairy, walla yesterday I didn't want to eat two slabs of cream cheese lol. I think the hunger is going away. My body will fat adapt because ha, that's all it has now. It just may take me longer since I've been on a diet my entire life. We got this!

No matter the diet, u need a caloric deficit to lose weight

Wow 1000 calories I would have given up too

While definitely not for everyone, if you can hack it, fasting is the fastest way to break a plateau. Also, especially when coupled with cardio, the fastest path into ketosis. FYI - I can easily gain on a keto diet.

Rosie19 I have had my metabolism tested and my metabolism IS officially screwed up and I know it. I tested at 900! I'm working on building it. I did lose weight and was very successful but I had surgery and had my ovaries removed, hence the massive weight gain and change in my body. So, you are lucky your metabolism is still ok

I’m lucky cause I was never in a diet ever in my life so when I did get in one 1 stumble upon people that actually new what we’re talking about “cartergood” 😍

I heard bad diets mess ur metabolism, and a way to fix it is u gotta go on maintenance until it gets fix, than only than create a deficit n u will lose weight

Going on maintenance will make u gain a lil weight but ur metabolism is worth it.

It takes a little while to learn how many calories you burn per day. For example, although this site says I should be burning something like 2100 calories per day, I actually only burn around 1700 - 1800. Unfortunately, age has a lot do do with that. Our metabolisms begin to slow at, or after 40.

1000 cals a day and low fat is probably what’s causing the problems. You may even be losing weight but the scale isn’t showing it. Due to tons of problems that are too long to list here. Try a increase in calories for 2-3 weeks. Try 1350-1450 daily, so average around 9450-10150 a week. See what happens in that time frame. Sometimes going too low will cause more harm than good. I’ve been there before. So give that a shot. Figure out what’s happening, then adjust up/down as necessary.

I feel for you, it gets frustrating. the lower calories are definitely a bonus to get to your new weight. have you tested to see if you are actually in ketosis?? I see a couple days you are pretty high in carbs or high in protein, either one can effect your glucose levels. on other days you are pretty low in protein. the key is balance. I do like the IF fasting process, it definitely helps with getting into the keto burn. wine generally is not allowed in the first couple weeks to help get you body fat adapted. then with care testing as you go along. You can always try the IF process with just a good balanced diet that is low carb like you used with success before. One or two days a week of 16:8 fasting with a common sense reduced calorie diet. either way good luck and let us know how you feel with your fasting

If I were stalling I would do what Jimmiepop suggests, fasting is easy, cheap, and effective, resets your metabolism and gets hormonal issues under control.

Did you pay for a metabolic test and they said 900? 900 calories? Daily? I am confused by the type of test and more importantly what ketosis is and what it isn't. You may or may not be in ketosis; you may be eating too little of every MACRO nutrient. You may not be recording your food accurately. You definitely aren't going to gain muscle on 1,000 calories a day. You have a chance to gain muscle at maintenance calories but it involves progressive weight resistance. Eating less wouldn't really make sense unless your goal is to become super frustrated. I can't recommend something to control hormones when I can't pick and choose what my hormonal response would be to stress. Cortisol increases due to acute or chronic stress; acute would be fasting. Chronic would dieting. Again, I can't pick and choose which hormone I can reset, improve, or change since they are all interrelated. So, what exactly was the test and what did it determine?

Good Lord my hormones are under control , that's why I am starting to lose and not gain anymore . Even slowly losing is a success. If You're not a woman you have no clue what it's like to be ripped of all your estrogen . Yes the test was paid for done with the mask in a doctors office not a gym . Just because I'm frustrated doesn't mean I'm giving up there is no giving up nobody should give up.

Deadpool I'm not on a low fat low calorie diet , I'm on keto and I am in ketosis everyday, if you look at what I'm eating vegetables lettuce spinach , most days my proteins too low. finally dropped those extra 3 pounds after I ate fish for a few days and up my protein.

Ok, I was assuming you were eating 1000 calories a day and having problems with that amount from your other comment. If you’re losing weekly then that’s where you wanna be
22 Jun 18 by member: DEADPOOL12345
Yea my bad I misreads your comment. If you’re losing around 1lb-2 weekly which it sounds like you are then you’re doing fine 👍🏻
