You know what chaps my hide? These weight loss and fitness folks that are selling their miracle product or fitness gear at outrageous prices. But folks actually pay it! Example: today I saw an ad on FB about a weighted vest to ramp up your workout. The cost? $99 freaking bucks for a 12 pound vest! So I looked on Amazon and found the exact same style product for $28! Prime! That is more than a third less for the same thing. You're paying for a brand, which I despise. So Amazon will once again be getting my business!

I carry around my camera while walking. It weighs ten pounds, and I get great photos of birds. :)

Be kinda hard to wear a sack of potatoes, lol. My hubby used to get a workout when we hiked. He's a photographer and his equipment weighed over 30 pounds. I want it to up the ante on my ab excercises, among other things.

Most of this weight loss gimick stuff doesn't work. People are wasting all sorts of money they could be saving. Over the years there has been weight loss cookies, weight loss tea, body wraps, waste trainers, shakes, pills and the list goes on and on. If it seems to easy, it. doesn't work. Even if you have surgery, it still boils down to you have to watch your diet and exercise or you will gain it back. My godsister has tried many of these gimicks, she is still obese. My hairdresser had surgery and she is still obese. While eating and gaining weight is easy, shedding the weight is very hard. Better to not eat bad and gain it in the first place.

That is a great price for a piece of workout equipment that will do what you need. Different strokes....😀

Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. As long as there are desperate folks who want to take back their health... there will always be hucksters and charlatans waiting in the wings to siphon our pockets dry.

Knowing that you are a biker, I first read the first line of that as, "You know what my chaps hide?"!! Oh, my! lol

just food for thought. if you are overweight (we all are on this site to some degree) wouldn't the vest just put more stress on your knees and ankles? I know that 10 pound extra will mess with mine. so in your pursuit to lose the weight you might be wrecking other parts of your body..

LOL, fortunately my bike doesn't literally chap my hide! I already use added weight with my ab exercises and lunges and such. I just think the vest is a more convenient way of adding it and to also distribute the weight. I won't be using it while I run or do cardio.

The vest sounds like a good Idea for walking. I often use a backpack to carry a few items home when we walk to the grocery store which is about three miles away. It makes a difference...

I don't have to buy anything. I just carry a backpack with books in it...
