calorie deficit question
@K8yk I agree with your assessment of the exercise machines opinion on how many calories are being burned. Still without a better means to track it I really have no better options then to take their word for it. For portions Ive been good about estimating how much I'm eating. Most of my meals aren't that complicated and I have access to accurate nutritional information to back up what I'm recording here.
@MsKim You sound like my wife (in a good way) I'm trying to keep my extended trips to the gym on low impact things like an elliptical machine or Yoga. I've had exercise related injuries before and they were no fun.
Thanks for the support in information both of you!

calorie deficit question
I have a question. I've been hitting the weight loss fairly hard through both diet and exercise for the last month or so and have done really well. (I needed to get about a 2% change in body fat or have some major problems at work)
Now that I have met my short term goal I'm looking over my plan and noticing that I seem to have a really high calorie deficit on most days.(between 1000-2000 for most days) I'm not feeling any noticeable adverse effects, but I do have suspicions that I may be working more then is healthy.
What is realisticly the highest calorie deficit I can maintain and not set myself up for long (or short) term problems?
Thanks for any input!
