Calorie Counting Doesn't Seem to be Working
Diets have come and gone, and yet counting calories has been around forever. Why? It's the only one that works - if you are burtally honest.

Counting Calories
Case in point "I can't believe its not butter spray" has zero calories. What is the portion size? 1 spray. Well naturally ONE spray has ZERO calories. But if you look at a tub of this stuff there are all sorts of calories. People see zero calroies and start pumping away.

What I am doing differently this time that makes it easier for being on track
A missle is off course most of its journey. It sends a signal to see if its on target. It's close but needs to move a little to the left/right. So it adjusts. It then sends another signal.... this continues.

Eventually it hits the target and everyone is so blown away by how accurate it was even though it was "not on target" most of the way. By having a goal (target) and counting your calories and weighing in you get feedback to "am I on course" and if you're not you make adjustments. Congrats and I wish you continued success.

The Scale!
You need to know that you weight fluctuates on a regular basis. You could do everything right and still gain weight. I know I lifted weights all weekend and gained 2 lbs (could be more muscle?). At any rate, when the scale goes down enjoy the pride you feel. If the scale goes up, don't panic. trust in yourself, and the process you have set up. Stay the course. As the old saying goes, if you have a flat tire, you don't get out and cut the other three.
