I suggest not worrying about a caloric deficit when trying to get over an illness. Get plenty of fluids, vitamins and rest. Get back on the diet when you are well.

I soooo agree! There should be an automatic "dropping" of groups that are inactive for over a year! Even more of a drag that "last activity date" doesn't show right next to group ...
