It is a great app. I started using it a couple years ago and is probably one of the best tools I used to help me lose weight.

Just starting using it a couple of months ago when I got an iphone. I love it, makes it easy to track while on the go so I have an idea what I'm doing, and how many calories and carbs I'm consuming and have left to consume Smile

It doesn't do quite everything the website does, but I love that it is mobile and I really love being able to use the bar code scanner to enter packaged food... definitely a huge part of my success. In fact, I had the app before I know about the website!

Yes, I use the app religiously! Love it. I wish it had access to the forums, though. Also, on my iPhone, it only lets you select 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 portions of servings, but on the web site you can put 1/3, 1/8 and other measurements. Sometimes these weird measurements are needed because I really only had 1/3 cup of something. Oh well, I just round up to be safe.

Yep, started using it before I found the website's functionality. I have it on my BB Bold. I don't have the bar code scanner on my version, but might be changing to an Apple or Samsung and will definitely be downloading it again.

I agree that the portion limitations are a bother. I usually pull up the website on my iPhone/iPad to enter odd sized portions. Overall on FatSecret, I wish there was a combined chart that would let you see your calories per day with your weight tracker. It would be very interesting to see that in one chart to track the effects of your eating patterns on your weight.

I have the app on my phone (android) and iPad. The phone doesn't let me put accurate portion sizes in but the iPad one does. I prefer to add my food in on the app but my exercise on the website. I too think it would be good if you could see your weight chart against your calorie intake so you can see what difference it makes when you go over. But then the site is free and I love it so I'm not complaining !! And it works. When I stop using the app / website to log everything I go nuts and put loads of weight on

I also used the app before joining the site. I have it on my phone. Tried to sync the two.
It's so helpful.

Good luck to all for the coming week. Hope to see less of you next week.
