Importance of Exercise

I need somebody out there to remind me everyday how important exercise is in losing weight. My body wants to take the easy way out and just do nothing, while my mind knows the truth. To lose wt. the amount of calories burned must be greater than those consumed! I guess writing this has helped me...ready to go walk those 6,000 steps to fitness.

You will not succeed by relying on others to motivate you
especially in the long term

you will probably not succeed if you just want to lose weight

you will ONLY succeed when you make a lifestyle change to being healthier which includes eating healthier most of the time and exercising on a regular basis

I think you will find the results will be encouraging enough. Those 6000 steps might seem hard right now but keep aware of how you improve. How long does it take you to do those steps now? How long in 2 weeks time? How tiring is it now? How much easier in two weeks? How quickly do 6k steps become too short a walk and you are looking for more? That hill you avoid...... how long before you are attempting it? Then how many times do you need to stop and how quickly your 'stopping' reduces. Ok Ok.... I love the benefits of walking. Just keep your eye out for your improvements.......

Find something you like to do that also qualifies as exercise, something you like so much you would do it even if it didn't count. Doing some sort of exercise you don't like only to make you lose weight is a weak point that could give you more excuses to give up.
