It's difficult to give the right advice because we don't know what you're eating, how many carbs, what kind of carbs, and how many calories.

If you could log on this site everything you eat for at least a few days and the exact amounts it might even give you a much better picture of where the problems might be...

Only other thing I can think of offhand is stay away from the Atkins bars, candy, and shakes (if you're eating them). Many people find it difficult if not impossible to lose weight while consuming them.

Find your maintenance, eat below your maintenance=results. Good luck.

yes, they are, or at least they are for me, I can be going down steadily and then i 'treat' myself to a cup of tea and a bar , and i stay the same for the next 3 - 4 days. Everyone is different, but if you've been eating them, then this could be the problem.

if you could post your foods for a couple of days, maybe we could give you better advice? Hard to say what you're doing right or wrong if we can't see your food.

Your success relies on being 100% accountable for everything you eat. As Raven says, it is hard to give any recommendations to you without understanding your eating habits. The BEST thing you can do for yourself is to track everything - EVERY morsel. Only then can you successfully follow a low carb or a low calorie diet. Make a point to start tracking tomorrow, and everyday of your diet plan, regardless of diet plan. Otherwise you are shooting at a moving target and less likely to see the results you need for the military. Best of luck!

Have you read the book? Do that, to make sure you're following the plan properly. Low carb does work when done right. Good luck in your efforts.

It's not only the amount of carbs you eat each day, but what KIND. At least maybe list here an example of the carb food you are eating, perhaps? Metabolically, low carb HAS to work--unless you are doing it incorrectly with the wrong types or amounts of foods or if you have a severe metabolic disorder or if you are on certain medications, which I doubt you are because the military would have 4F'd you for that.

There has to be something holding you back, try a little more water and iceberg lettuce with meal and stick to the first week to burn ketones as mentioned on website. I found sneaky sugars in some condiments that I put in everything once I stopped it started moving.The Atkins bars are for people who attained all the weight loss and are moderately watching carbs, if you read a lot of people start to see slowing weight loss after eating them regularly.

If you aren't reaching even 10 carbs a day, I'd say that that is your problem. You are supposed to get as close to 20 as you can every day, and 15 of those carbs should be coming from vegetables. Try nutrient dense vegetables like brocolli, cauliflower, squash, asparagus, etc. Stay away from the Atkins bars.

Shadowx1110 is giving you great advise please don't give up just modify and it will work correct it's self. But pay attention to vegetables some may have a lot more carbs when you eat more than a serving and that is easy to do since I have learned some servings are tiny.

Donn@, how is not eating for a couple days "more doable" than Atkins? Atkins is easy and no hunger/cravings if done right...fasting (especially when surrounded by others that are eating and/or having to cook for them) is hard, especially as a long-term WOE plan!

Atkins works because, a lot of people have different blood types that respond better to high fats and protien and in that lowering everything or starvation will be destined to failure. The right way is follow what your body responds and keep up with the routine-

You are not logging your foods here so how do you know what you hit in a day, On the one day you did log it, you only ate breakfast which is a good start but then only an Atkins bar for lunch nothing for dinner, If this is how you are eating every day, If you don't eat enough calories, your body may actually go into survival mode and store all the calories that you do ingest as fat;
You need healthy carbs as someone suggested before, I can't eat any Atkins products in any phase or I stall. So i eliminate them completely. Good luck, and Eat!!!
