My weight loss last week was incredible. I lost 8 pounds in 7 days. I have decided to increase the intensity of my exercise and am now seeing a stall. Is this because of an increase in muscle mass? At what point should I expect the loss to begin again?

Give it time, if it's still not working lower the intensity back a bit.

I'm glad it just moved along, but I was just about to tell you that it would. If you lose THAT much in a week, then some will be water - and your body will reclaim water every now and then. Nothing to worry about. Just keep going.

I went from morbidly obese to being the owner of TABDIG - a weight loss coaching service that helps people worldwide losing weight. It's been an amazing journey. From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, living healthy and helping people to reach the very same goals. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier! If you feel that you need help losing weight, don't hesitate to send me an inbox message.

Red yeast rice worked for me. I now take it only intermittently, and my cholesterol is stable around 5.8. Good luck!

I think it's weight related - not a standard of so many glasses. Plus some people then add in activity level and environment variables. There's tons of calculators online.
