I thought it would be fun and interesting to have an ongoing post, where people could post a big accomplishment. So, if you had anything like a new personal best at something, participated in a challenging event, hit a major mile stone in your plan or something else along those lines, please repond to this post. Anyone have something today?

This is a great idea! I'm a week late, but last week I qualified for my 2nd skin adjustment surgery, and I am now in maintenance mode, trying to find my groove in maintenance, putting on muscle and as little fat as possible.

I went from morbidly obese to being the owner of TABDIG - a weight loss coaching service that helps people worldwide losing weight. It's been an amazing journey. From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, living healthy and helping people to reach the very same goals. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier! If you feel that you need help losing weight, don't hesitate to send me an inbox message.

Blimey..... you beat me to it! I was just about to start a post along a similar theme........ that we are too hard on ourselves and forget to acknowledge all the good bits. In fact, I think I still will lol.

Oh, and today I reached a third of my goal

What a lovely idea Smile

Just a little thing for me, but it means a lot. I put my jeans on yesterday and noticed I had to tighten my belt; I suddenly realised I'm down to the last hole now, which means I'm going to need to buy a smaller belt!! Not a big thing, as I said, but it's such a confidence booster Very Happy

hfjhfj, who cares if it is a "small victory". It's a frickin' victory! Be proud! Nothing makes your day as the NEED to buy a smaller belt! Smile

Congrats to all!! I guess my victory is that today I am happy with where I'm at and the direction I'm going. I'm feeling positive and I know I am making more healthy choices for myself. The other day I was actually craving carrots instead of craving junk food so that is a step in the right direction. Kingkeld, you are so right, the small victories are victories too, and we should celebrate them too!
Goals for 2014:
Complete Couch to 5K- DONE!!!
Sign up for and complete a 5K- DONE!! 35 mins.
Plan at least 3 outings with the family that involve being active- 2 done

thanks Yankgal46, you look like you are well on your way and must be feeling a lot better about things than when you started out.

I started the year off with mostly weekend exercise and occasional hikes, but now I am on day 19 of Jillian Michael's 90-day Body Revolution work out program. I haven't committed to a workout regimen like this in probably...I don't know...forever! I'm not following her food program, just doing my own thing with calorie counting here on FS. I'm so proud of myself and my husband is, too. And I'm bragging about him, too. He's not on the same program as me, but he is also losing weight and his belts are way too big for him! He used to buy 3X and 4X bathing suits, but just bought a 2X this weekend.

Today I punched ANOTHER hole in MY belt. Thanks for reminding me. I just bought the belt, and had totally overestimated my size, so when I put it to use the first time, I was already in the last hole. Then I needed another. And now another. And I can tell it won't be long until one more might be needed.

...then again, now I am in maintenance mode, and I might not need another hole. I am still trying to get used to that. Very Happy

Today, I upped the weight on two more machines at the gym. I started right after new year, and I had everything for my arms and shoulders at level 4 (of 1Cool and everything leg and back at 6. Today, I have nothing less than level 9, and after today I have three(!) machines set at level 16(!).

I've been on here for 37 days, and have managed to lose a total of 16 lbs so far! I know I still have a long way to go, but I haven't been sub 210 in over 10 years! Vacation in July, but I'm only going if I am 190 or below! 19 lbs to that goal, and another 10 after that for my family trip (Late August)! And beyond that, another 30 lbs!

Smile Great Work everyone!
