Yesterday, I was able to quickly and easily copy the previous day's meals ... today I get some crazy drop down menu. I eat the same thing most days, and really preferred the old way.

I get so tired of sites fixing what ain't broken!

I actually agree with you. If anyone else does, click the "contact" button on the bottom of the page and let them know. Hopefully they will listen.

As it is now, the food diary has the worst user interface of any diet website I've ever seen.
If you think my post is too abrasive, harsh, or offensive, you're:
A) Wrong.
B) Too sensitive.
C) Not going to receive an apology for pointing it out.

I never visit the forums, and came here for the same reason. Please change the interface back! A few important options are no longer available, such as:

1. Directly copying yesterday's meal with one click.
2. Copying last week's meal with one click.
3. Keeping the brand name of the food listed instead of just the food name. I prefer to know what brand of food I ate in addition to the food itself. If I'm entering a meal with 6 items I have to go back and individually edit six foods to see the brand on the diet calendar.

I have already written to the contact page, and hope others do as well!

I love Fatsecret and have consistently used it for 2 and a half years now. I specifically chose this site over others due to the old, familiar interface. This new interface is too similar to other sites I tried and decided not to use.

I posted the same complaint and wrote FatSecret--then I saw this post. I do web development and sometimes IT departments do things just because they can be done without regard to how it affects the user. They should at least give us a choice of the new, crappy menus OR the "classic" view.

I have been here for 2 years and it has always the meal recording feature that has kept me consistantly coming back. I go away for one weekend and BAM! Needless to say, I am very disapointed with the changes.
If not today, then when?

Is there any way to copy lunch items for dinner, or do you have to search for these items again at dinner time unless you have been eting them frequently? I often eat the same thing for lunch and dinner. It used to be quick and easy to enter. Now it is horrible.

A real pain. Just getting into the swing of using it and then this. Not happy.

Agree with most of y'all regarding the new drop down menu. It is a large pain, and I find it takes me an additional step now to get what I want in the locations I and amounts that I want them. I have sent an email to the "contact us" link below, although I have my doubts about any reversions back taking place without a huge number of complaints.

I thought I was the only one. The old way was much better. I decided to check the forums to see if I was just a complainer. I guess not. I did send a message to "Fatsecret to see if there are instructions on how to use the new format. Is there anyone out there that likes the new format? If so tell us why or give us some tips that you found to make the navigation easier. If there are not a lot of people who like this change maybe if we all complain they will change it back.

That' exactly my question? I sent that question to "Contact". I wonder if they post in these forums or even read them.

Sad I'm going to post in my journal to see if there are others out there who hate the changes as much as we do. Just to get feedback on how others feel who may not know about this forum.

Cool Still do not like the new format. But I discover a tab at the top of the page that says add multiple items. Click on it. You can choose from a list of most eaten foods and still choose to add it to the meal of your choice. Still do not like the change but hope this helps. If anyone else has any suggestions please let us know. I'm not a big forum poster but this change reallyu affects me.

My last post on this subject. Play around with the new food entry site. Clicking on all of the buttons. The Tabs to the right will let you quickly enter food from a specific meal. Choose specific restuarants etc. Still a little complicated. If things don't go back to the way they were maybe we can help each other to navigate.

One more tip. If you can not easily find a food using the new drop menu click on the add new food tab. Type in the manufactures name along with a brief description of the item. I was looking for my carb control tortillas. I couldn't remember the correct name so I put in the company name, and simply tortilla for the description and a whole long list of all of their tortilla items popped up. This may not be my last post.

Okay the copy feature seems to be dead. One suggestion save the meal to your favorites by clicking the copy meal and add it to your favorites and save for later if you plan on eating it the next day. No more one click. If anyone finds an easier way to do this please post it here. I wrote to "Contact" and asked if the could at least restore the copy all yesterday's or last weeks meal feature. It sure was a big help on days when there isn't alot of time to think or plan a meal. Big time saver hopefully not gone for good.

Agree change is never fun or pleasant.

But I do like the way it is on permanent 'multi-add' in that I can search and add things from recent and most and at the very end 'add selected'.

Will give it a shot.

I am in agreement with all of you here. This new interface stinks. I really wish they would have provided some notification and maybe some tips on how to use it. I submitted a complaint via the "contact" link, and a request on how to add the same meal I ate yesterday - hopefully they will listen to us.
