I have created a recipe, and want to enter one that has the most of the same ingredients. It would be nice if I could open a recipe in the editor, then do a "save as" to create the modified recipe without having to re-enter all of those ingredients. That way I could still have both recipes.

Fat Old Guy On Bike. There is a trend here. I would be really self conscious about it if it weren't for the fact that there are so many of us Clydesdale's out there.

Try placing the recipe in a blank meal, ie dinner tomorrow. Make the changes in the "dinner" ( add / subtract ingredients). Save that meal as a new recipe.

That's a great idea niteclicks, but I don't think it will work? One difference I noticed between recipes and favorite meals is that recipe's come into your food diary as a single food item, so when you add it, you don't even see the individual ingredients in the diary -- which is great if you want to be able to adjust the portion size for the recipe as a whole, but it doesn't allow you to fiddle with the individual ingredients. Favorite meals come in as individual items, which is a useful shortcut if you have a list of items that you often eat in the same meal, but want the flexibility to make adjustments on a case-by-case basis.

Very annoying. How tough would it be to allow us to copy. I'm supposed to start from scratch to eliminate one ingredient?
