You're here which is a start. By logging in what you eat everyday, it may be a clue to what you are doing wrong---it can also be very eye opening. I was consuming about 300g of carbs daily (mainly from breads, cereals, crackers--and carbs are loaded with calories and bad fat), I hardly ate veggies and my protein was all beef, ground beef with some chicken, I also ate a lot of sugar. After a trip to visit relatives, I saw how differently they all ate and were all thin. Since, I've been on a slow journey to replace refined carbs with healthy carbs (fiberous fruits and veggies) and consuming healthier fats. I also established better eating habits--instead of grazing all day, I eat a certain amount of meals a day and don't eat 3 hours before bed.

But start with a good food inventory, it may just be as easy as adjusting what you eat. Getting some form of activity in a few times a week is also good for your health.

There are lots of great people here who have many great tips so I'm sure you'll get some other tips that may help. Good luck!

Chiming in here on this one-A food diary really has been the biggest help for me, particularly the food diary on this site, which helps you see exactly what you're eating, what is in it, and how healthy it is, or isn't as the case may be! It's been a huge education for me, to see how much fat is in so much of the food I eat. I lost 40 pounds a few years ago but because I didn't change my eating habits, not only did I lost it the hard way (exercise only) but it came right back when I moved and didn't have a free on-base gym 2 blocks from my house to go to any more. I joined here a couple of weeks ago and just by tracking my food my weight has gone down steadily. It hasn't been without some sacrifice, and sometimes it's been really difficult not to binge when I'm stressed. I'm not doing this for others, though, it's for me, so my success is all my own as well.

Can you do yogurt? A friend recommended to me plain yogurt with splenda mixed in. Maybe try that with some berries. I've been putting frozen raspberries in my protein shake.
