There is one thing I don't like about how this site shows the Net Carbs. It doesn't have sugar alcohol as part of the nutrition information so it doesn't subtract them out. In the Atkins bars it makes a huge difference in the net carbs. It is showing 14 net carbs for the Peanut Caramel Cluster Bar and it should only be 3 after taking off the sugar alcohol.

it might be because some peoples bodies treat some sugar alcohols as sugar. I use sugar alcohols myself & changed from using Xylitol to Erythritol because that affects me the least (although I've now also started using Truvia as my new sweetener of choice).
I know what you mean about the system they're using on the site though. I'm in the UK where manufactures use the net (none fibre) carbs on all their nutritional information labels. But this site seems to use the USA system which includes fibre as part of the carb count. So before I add a food item I ALWAYS have to work out the total carb according to the USA system by adding the carbs & fibre together first, before adding to the data base.

There is no way around it and I know of know carb counter that is any different.
Some people log those atkins bars and enter the sugar alchohol in the fiber coloms so they get the right number of net carbs
Some people however do not understand that sugar alchohols are not fiber. I was helping a lady that was complaining that she was not getting her daily limit of fiber and when I looked at what she commononly counted as fiber it was all Atkins bars
In some of those Atkins product the sugar achohol is maltitol and most people probably absorb it as carbs anyways (in spite of what the company like to say)

Even if there's information on the database for an item, you always have the option to create your own entry as if it were a "new item."
You can then set up the Nutrition Facts any way you want....just be sure you check the box that you do NOT want to share the entry with the database. Then, whenever you use the product, you'll have access to it, exactly the way you want it.

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
